We have more colors now. Yay.
Trying to figure out the differing resolutions and sizing for everything is quite the task for me. On one hand, I don't even have anything on this website yet, so it doesn't really matter. On the other, figuring this out from the very beginning could make things easier long term.
I'm new to neocities, but I've gotten the impression that a lot of people tend to focus on making their sites most fitting for 1080p monitors. These sites are essentially creative outlets, so it doesn't really matter how it looks on every individual screen as long as you're having fun. You're not building some professional tech website, you don't have to make it intuitive or accessible.
I've had courses about modern web design at uni and it was as boring as you can imagine. Despite that, I can't help but want to focus on making this site somewhat functional across a variety of screens. I think it'd be rather satisfying for me, if I managed to get the hang of it. Don't know about mobile phones though. I hate phones.
I've also been brainstorming ideas for potential mascots. I think it'd be fun to draw a couple of illustrations with a cute character and place them all over the site. As if the mascot is overseeing the website itself. I don't even have a personal style, but perhaps a simple doodle might do.
Also, screw margins and padding. How does it always manage to break everything??
Finally set it up. Genuinely excited to keep building this site, slowly making it better. Wish I wasn't so quick to forget all my html and javascript knowledge.
For now, nothing is optimized and it's very barebone. I've yet to decide on the style I want for this page. Who knows if I'll ever be able to settle for something. I'm very indecisive and picky.
